Platelets + Coagulation Factors → Clotting Ability → Bleeding Risk
The biology
Stopping a bleed needs two systems working together: platelets form the first plug, then coagulation factors weave a fibrin mesh to stabilise it. Either system failing causes bleeding.
What this means
Low platelets cause spotty bruising and nosebleeds. Low clotting factors cause deeper bleeding (into joints or muscle).
Advice
Avoid aspirin and NSAIDs unless prescribed. Use a soft toothbrush. Tell every doctor and dentist about abnormal results.
